There’s just something about a lowered single cab short bed pickup truck. Correction: There are a few things. Even though it’s not a huge beast on a two-digit lift with monster wheels and tires that tear up the ground, it has presence. And if it’s been modified with a generous budget, it will have the go to match the show. Our latest pick of the day, this 1965 Chevrolet C10 Fleetside with an LS3 engine listed on ClassicCars.com, has both.

In 1965, the Chevrolet C10 was available with a variety of engines, including a 230ci inline-six and a 283ci V8 with 145 horsepower and 245 lb-ft of torque (both net). It would have been great if this truck still had its original (and slightly upgraded) engine, but whoever replaced it chose a worthy successor: a polished 6.2-liter LS3 V8. If you look around the engine compartment, you’ll see other notable components, like a power steering fluid reservoir, a body-colored power brake booster, and a dual-circuit master cylinder (for some slow to control that go). Power is sent to the rear through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission.

The 1965 Chevy C/K lineup brochure shows trucks in various shades of red, blue, and even yellow. Whoever modified this C1434 model (also known as a 115-inch wheelbase Fleetside with a 6.5-foot bed) took a different route and chose a beautiful metallic olive green shade, then lowered the truck on a set of chrome wheels.

That rich green looks even better around the shiny wooden bed planks. It’s also a wonderful complement to the custom beige leather interior, which is equipped with a tilt steering column, billet control arms, an aftermarket steering wheel, modern gauges, and what appears to be a touchscreen head unit.
